Dog training has come a long way

Learning to speak dog was a dream come true.  As the science and methods of dog training grew, I jumped in with complete abandon.  Working with the very best mentors in the business, I learned over the years how to think the way dogs think -- which is quite different than the way humans process information.  I learned to read body language, trust my instincts to develop a relationship with each dog and develop a strategy to motivate each dog to want to learn and behave in a new way.

Knowing how a dog thinks creates the language by which one can convince the dog to engage in the behaviors and state of mind that works for the owner -- and the dog finds out it works better for them too.  They just do not know that yet so it's our job to show them.  This requires clear communication and techniques that I have developed over the years.

My passion is to teach others to have a great relationship with their dog.  Each dog-human partnership may have the kind of relationship they desire.  There should be a clear and fair director of the partnership -- that's the human.  From that position of respect and fairness, the human can develop the desired behaviors their dog and have fun.   We want a more harmonious, a more cooperative partnership.
